CASE STUDY

A good friend, Rosie, has a quirky hairless Chihuahua, Zoie, who thinks she’s a diva. Because Zoie has no fur to keep her warm, she has acquired an extensive selection of clothing: from velour lounge wear to formal dresses, all outfitted with matching bows and jewelry.

Rosie had a fun idea: to start a small business named Zoie’s Doggie Boutique. The premise for her business is Zoie is a shopaholic, finding lots of fabulous outfits to wear, toys to play with, as well as designer collars, leashes, harnesses, food and water bowls befitting a princess. Rosie travels to pet expos to sell Zoie’s treasures, so you too can have “attire for your dog’s desire.”

The design concept was rounded out with a whimsical logo font, the perfect shade of “girly pink” and voila!

Our approach for Zoie’s identity was to create a cartoon illustration to capture the little dog’s diva attitude and comedic wobbly gate (she would never make it down a fashion runway without tripping!). The design concept was rounded out with a whimsical logo font, the perfect shade of “girly pink” and voila! Zoie’s Doggie Boutique’s identity was born.

The initial identity package included a business card and booth banner. Since then, Zoie’s Doggie Boutique’s has grown in popularity, so Rosie has hired us to develop an online storefront to promote the Zoie’s ever-burgeoning closet of haute couture and wonderful doggie accessories.
